Sharing Talents for Greatness

“Hire people who are better than you are, then leave them to get on with it . . . ; Look for people who will aim for the remarkable, who will not settle for the routine.” -David Ogilvy

Each and every individual has different characteristics, potential, and personality that can truly lend to a project.

While some are good at managing projects, others shine at getting things done, still yet there are those that thrive in supporting others in the greater cause, and so on.

The importance of hiring the right people for the right job is just as essential as knowing where you excel and being willing to delegate what someone else may do very well.

There is a saying worth mentioning– you cannot judge the potential of a fish by making it climb a tree.

Understanding the potential of the person and knowing where he/she is the right fit in the business management would ensure that the business operations and management continues to function and perform as expected, or maybe even better.

So, once you find the right person, it is important to let them be and allow them the freedom to get things done in their own way, as long as the results are achieved and the goals reached. While still aiming for the same thing, we bring in our unique styles, processes, fair and characteristics that may lend to the project.

A marketing person could learn to do accounting but a talented accountant would thrive in that position and bring more out of the position and vice versa.

So, it is just as essential that you find the right people for the right job, as it is to allow them to carry out job the task at hand in an ambitious, creative and through way that only they can do.
